Pharmacy Technician – Claregalway
Contract Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Hours: 40 Hours per Week
About the Role:
A busy and community-focused pharmacy in Claregalway, is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Pharmacy Technician to join their professional dispensary team. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a friendly working environment and excellent work-life balance.
Working Hours:
40 hours per week
Every second Saturday required
No Sundays or Bank Holidays
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately prepare and dispense prescriptions under the supervision of the Pharmacist
Manage medication stock levels, expiry checks, and general dispensary organisation
Process end-of-month claims and manage GMS/DPS/Hi-Tech schemes
Provide exceptional customer service and patient support
Prepare and manage blister packs in line with pharmacy standards
Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and PSI guidelines
Assist the Pharmacist in daily dispensary operations
Candidate Requirements:
Qualified Pharmacy Technician (IPU-recognised or Dispenser Course qualification)
Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience in a busy community pharmacy
Competent in schemes, end-of-month processes, and blister packaging
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
